Another major task this year was digging out the 10 year old swampy mush of bark in our playset area, dumping the muddy goop behind the fence, digging in and pouring cement footings for the playset and wheelbarrowing in 7 yards of pea gravel in its place.  I hired someone from a local charitable organization trying to get homeless people back on their feet for 2 days to help with the bark removal and pea gravel fill.  Nora and I also scrubbed off 5 years of mold and restained the decade old playset ... it looks almost like new!
