Along with the myriad of other house projects we took on this summer, I redid a large chunk of the front fence and its gate.  The contractor we hired last fall to take down the 60' tall cypress tree that was overtaking the front of our house, let a number of cut branches drop on our fence trashing it in the process.  The gate had been sticking for years, so I just decided to take out several sections of fence and the old gate and rebuild from scratch.  I worked on this for several weekends spread out throughout the summer.
