The Hawaiian language has a unique overabundance of vowels ... especially in their naming conventions.  It was always a challenge to pronounce these in conversation.  This park enclosed a very beautiful area considered to be sacred ground by the natives and it is where the king and queen lived when the Polynesians first populated the islands.  There were many carved wooden statues, ceremonial huts and other interesting things to explore.
