At the end of the main Nice beach, there is a big hill where an ancient fortress/castle once stood known as Castle Hill.  It gave you an incredible view of the beach and city.  We had asked a passing tourist to take a picture of all of us for for this year's Christmas Letter, but of course he just zoomed in, took it of the 4 of us with none of the beach in the background, handed us back the camera, and walked off.
