The Goldfield Mine was one of the most productive gold mines in
Arizona state in the early 1900s.
As the gold veins began to dwindle so did the town from a
population of 30,000 to nothing but ghosts by the mid 1920s.
Yes ... we took the mine tour, but is was somewhat interesting.
