We were very fortunate to time our Versailles visit on a day the fountains would be turned on.  Here is the Latona Fountain in all her glory, fueled by a series of pipes and all the original hydraulics designed by Louis XIV engineers back in the 1680s.  We have dozens of pictures of all the fountains going off ... they were spectacular!
