The big day finally arrives.  The cement contractor decides to do the job in two separate pours.  The first day they will pour the steps and only the border on both the upper and lower patios.  They started with the steps first, then the lower patio border, followed by the upper patio border.  The borders will be a solid color dark gray with a sandy finish.  The steps and main slab inside the borders will be greenish gray slate textured with very dark gray accents.  The color of the slate is supposed to match all the one-man rock we used to terrace areas of the back yard.
