Kathleen Beatrice (Turpeinen) Sturgeon
Kathleen B. Sturgeon, 65, of Bremerton died April 16, 1999, at Harrison Hospital.

She was born Jan. 12, 1934, in Astoria, Ore., to Daniel and Kaarina E. (Nayho) Turpeinen.  She was raised in Astoria.

On March 20, 1958, she married William S. Sturgeon in Bellingham.  He preceded her in death in 1979.

Mrs. Sturgeon worked as an operator and supervisor at Pacific Northwest Bell until 1975.  Most recently, she worked as a medical records clerk for 19 years at Kitsap Physicians Service.

She was a member of Lincoln Avenue Bible Church.

Survivors include a son, Jack Silver of Bremerton; two daughters, Kathi Sturgeon of Elk Grove, Calif., and Theresa Huff of Marysville; five brothers, Robert and John, both of McMinnville, Ore., Rudy of Vancouver, Wash., Ray of Hayward, Calif., and Carlos of Portland, Ore.; a sister, Mary of Salem, Ore.; and one grandchild, Emma Kathleen Huff of Marysville.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Pat Jenkins.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Lincoln Avenue Bible Church.  Interment will be at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park.
