Cecelia P. Smith, 87, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2007, at Parkside
Care Center, Little Chute. She was born in Freedom on
April 2, 1920, to the late Lawrence and Dora (Ebben)
Steffens. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic
Church.
Cecelia is survived by her children, Gerald C. Sr., Menasha;
Charles (Carol), Menasha; Henry, Michigan; W. Joseph (Vanesa),
Neenah; Mary Boelter, Neenah; Shirley (Arthur) Hopfensperger,
Combined Locks; Charlotte Bavinck, Appleton; Kathy (Alan)
Demerath, Fla.; and Grace (Brad) Cooper, N.C.; sisters,
Marge (Donald) Baer and Mary Keller; brothers, Eugene
(Connie) Steffens and Ken (special friend Mary Anaya)
Steffens; and sisters-in-law, Betty Steffens-Engstrom, Cleo
and Marian Steffens. She is further survived by loving
grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and
great-great-grandchildren.
Cecelia was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Harry
Smith; three grandchildren, Vicki, Cory and Dale; her
son-in-law, John Bavinck; her brothers, Florian, Edward,
Charles, and Lawrence Steffens; and brother-in-law, Donald
Keller.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007, at ST.
PIUS X CATHOLIC CHURCH (500 W. Marquette, Appleton)
beginning at 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:30 a.m.
The Rev. Thomas Farrell will officiate. Committal will
be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Appleton. In lieu of
flowers, a memorial will be established.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to
Parkside Care Center the nurses and staff, and Heartland
Home Care and Hospice who did a wonderful job making Cecelia
comfortable. |
