Age 81, passed away at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday after a short illness.  She was born August 21, 1884 in Germany and had been a resident of Appleton most of her life.  She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and the Marina Circle of the church.  Mrs. Hooyman is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Robert Kranhold, Mrs. Thomas Butler and Mrs. John Fentz, and Mrs. Albin Bevers, all of Appleton, Mrs. Charles Steffens, Memphis, Tenn.; one sister, Mrs. Fred Peske, Appleton; 18  grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev. w. H. Gammelin officiating.  Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Brettschneider-Trettin Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Friday until 10 a.m. Saturday and after 11 a.m. at the church until the hour of the service.  A memorial to the Zion Lutheran Church Building Fund has been established.
